(My rule for photographing wild life is first get "a" picture and then try to get a good picture. He wasn't around long enough for the good picture.)
I do pick up my camera most every day (can't imagine what retirement would be like without my camera and PC to play with the pictures) and I get a great deal of enjoyment in working with it.

That's an excellent photography rule. I've ended up with 0 shots because I was waiting for the 1 great shot.
Now my rule is: take as many pictures as possible, because I'm not that good, and it will increase my chances of getting a good picture by accident! :)
